Raney type catalysts, also known as sponge metal or activated metal catalysts, are slurry-phase catalysts prepared by activating aluminum-based alloys with alkali solutions. Building upon conventional processes, SUNCHEM continuously innovates and has developed a range of high-performance catalysts including activated nickel, activated cobalt, activated copper, and their modified products. These catalysts have been successfully applied in the production of organic amines, functional sugar alcohols, the polyamide industrial chain, and in the pharmaceutical, pesticide, dye, and fragrance sectors.

  • Carbonyl Group Hydrogenation: For functional sugar alcohols.
  • Cyano Group Hydrogenation: For hexamethylenediamine, sebacamide, and other organic amines.
  • Hydroamination: For organic amines.
Activated Cobalt Catalyst:
  • Cyano Group Hydrogenation: For pentanediamine, butanediamine, and other organic amines. Offers highly desirable primary amine selectivity and excellent reusability.
Activated Copper Catalyst
  • Dehydrogenation/Oxidation: For specialized dehydrogenation or oxidative applications.
